Boo hoo. Yeah, Haleb (Hanna and Caleb) broke up in Pretty Little Liars‘ Season 3. But before you go and have a fit, you gotta know that one fan did what you will probably never admit you wanna do: Twitter-asked writer Bryan Holdman if Hanna and Caleb are completely finished. Lo and behold, Bryan replied, “Hanna still loves Caleb. Bet on it!” Yay or nay? STATUS got to shoot and chat with the man himself, Tyler Blackburn, somewhere in Los Angeles. And if Pretty Little Liars were real life, we might know another reason Caleb broke up with Hanna: the love of music.

What was the last song you listened to?
“No Ceiling” by Eddie Vedder.

You recently released a new song on iTunes. Do you plan on making a full-blast career shift from acting to music?
I honestly would like to do both. I am really focused on acting right now, but am experimenting with music simultaneously.

How did you find your way towards a career in music?
The first time I recorded music was for a web series called Wendy, then was approached by ABC Family to record music for them. It has been a great opportunity!

Do you write your own music? What inspires you?
I write a little bit, but am working on more. I get inspired by many life experiences.

Who are your musical influences?
The Black Keys, Angus and Julia Stone, Bob Dylan, Led Zeppelin, Cat Power, Otis Redding, to name a few…

TWIST just got to chat with Tyler Blackburn, star of the ABC Family series, Pretty Little Liars! Tyler spilled to us about his Acuvue 1Day Contest, who he thinks is part of the ‘A-team’ and what would be his ideal girl! Check out the interview and video below! TWIST: Tell me about your Acuvue 1Day Contest and how you got involved with Acuvue!
Tyler Blackburn: I was actually approached by Acuvue! I’ve been wearing contacts since I was 12 and I happen to wear the Acuvue brand so I thought it was very coincidental. They told me what the campaign was about and it really sparked an interest because it’s all about making dreams come true! I think that’s an important thing especially since they’re geared towards teenagers and young adults. It’s a very important time in someone’s life, where you start to make some really cool decisions for your future. Basically what happens is they pick a mentee for us celebrity mentors and my mentee is a 17-year-old girl who wanted to be an actress. She got to fly here from the East coast, and go on the set of Jane by Design, which is one of the ABC family shows! We talked about acting, worked on a scene together, got to meet the creator of Jane By Design and then she got a walk-on role on the show! It was like a day full of dreams coming true for her!

T: Awesome! What kind of connection does the Acuvue 1Day Contest have with your dreams and how you achieved your confidence?
TB: I’ve been wearing contacts since I was about 12, so truthfully it’s nice not to have to rely on glasses. It’s the way you look, the way you feel … and to me when I got my contacts, it helped my confidence. You obviously need confidence in this business as an entertainer, and it really makes a lot of sense to me. Even still, in the early morning, I’ll put my glasses on but then I’ll put my contacts in because I feel I’ll look like myself, you know?

T: Of course! So with your character going through so many transitions throughout this season of Pretty Little Liars, how would you say you relate to Caleb?
TB: Thus far this season, he’s been lied to a lot by Hannah and has now broken it off with her. Fortunately I haven’t had anyone really lie to my face like he has. But at the same time, he’s in the position where the relationship just isn’t working, and I’ve been in that position before. He’s kind of sick with the same old thing, you know? I actually can’t relate to the fact that there’s a freak stalker stalking all of them [laughs] – but you know he handles that pretty well, too.

Click the photo above to watch the video! When Pretty Little Liars hottie Tyler Blackburn stopped by the Cambio studios he not only talked about his latest movie, “Hiding,” but he talked up acting in general. Tyler admitted that comedy acting is the hardest type of acting out there.

“You can’t try to be funny,” he said.

That’s totally true! So maybe we won’t see him in any comedy films soon but can we expect him to shy away from those usual, dreamy, perfect-guy movie roles? “I definitely like darker stuff… I would do that but I’m scared s***less!” We’d love to see that! Tyler Blackburn meets Twilight! O-M-G!

Pretty Little Liars star Tyler Blackburn and Ana Villafane recently stopped by the Cambio studios to tell us all about their new flick “Hiding.” In the movie, Ana plays Jo Russo, a young NYC girl who was forced to relocate to Montana after seeing a brutal crime that resulted in her parents murder.

When Jo moves to Montana, she’s forced to take on a new life at a new school with new people. There, she meets Tyler Blackburn’s character, Jesse. Jesse and Jo become “friends” when she moves to town but another guy also comes into the picture. You’ll have to learn more about that by watching the movie! As for their real lives, Tyler and Ana talked about their high school life and Tyler dished about the type of girl he’d like to NOT date.

“I would never be with a girl who was like this relationship is defined by the amount of diamonds you give to me…that’s not my style. So if a girl is really stoked on just like a good, home-cooked meal and a serenade on the guitar… would you complain?” Watch our entire, cute interview with Tyler and Ana in the video above!
